Scott and Seth Avett are exact archetypes of the man I want to marry.
This deserves an instant reblog, if only for the last two seconds: “aaaaaarms”.
p.s. My husband sits down beside me as I’m watching this, looks at my computer screen and says, “Watching your porn, huh baby?” Oh yes. He knows me well.
Oh, Crackerfarm. May I hang with you and your musical friends near a ramshackle bookshelf?
Oh, and here’s Langhorne with an awesome hat and a Leonard Cohen cover:
He played this at Lincoln Hall, too. It was a good night.
How can you resist it? Above, Beach House’s “Zebra.” See all the covers by PS22 in NYC here. Including Phoenix, Jay-Z feat. Rihanna, Talking Heads, etc. Respect.
What kind of question is that? Do you read this tumblr?
Do you wish some of the things you’ve heard them sing on in concert would be released in a random “album” you could download for free?
I like free and downloadable things. But I’m not so sure about those quotation marks around “album”. They seem tricksy.
Do you love it when the Avetts cover other songs?
Well, I liked it when they covered Glory Days, but I would imagine there could be some songs that they would cover I would not like. Although arguably, those bad songs would be made so much better by the Avetts covering them that it would be a gift to mankind. The Nickelback By Avett Charitable Effort is now underway.
Don’t you wish someone would just put ‘em all together in a neat little package and gift them with a nifty little link?
