Kind of a sedate performance from them though.

I am just a big fan so I like it. It is definitely different from the first album, a more radio-friendly sound I guess. But I have really really liked “Royal Blue,” “Mine is Yours,” and “Finally Begin” especially. Nathan Willett’s voice is incredible and getting better. A lot of people have been comparing it, in a negative way, to Kings of Leon’s Only By The Night, which I think is an unfair comparison. I also really like the bonus tracks included on the iTunes presale. Anyway, I guess overall I really like the album and think it is super listenable although it’s not groundbreaking stuff. What do you think?
Royal Blue is a jam. I am thinking I will play this a lot.

The Take Away Shows of La Blogotheque are one of the best things that have ever happened on the internet.

But the Vampire Weekend, Arcade Fire, Cold War Kids, Lykke Li and Andrew Bird ones are wonderful, too. Do watch. Over and over and over. That’s what I’ve spent my last hour doing.
Still a little sad I missed it, but so happy that my roommates now love Cold War Kids.
